The Best Gift Guide for New Mamas

So you’ve got a friend or family member who just had a baby and became a new mom, and you want to do something nice for them…but you’re not sure what. Often times they already have everything they need for baby (diapers, swaddles, and blankets galore!) BUT! There are items for mom that can help make life easier and/or more enjoyable in those first few weeks and months. After all, they’ve just gone through a major life event. They’re sleep deprived, they may be physically recovering for several weeks, and there’s just a lot going on. Simply acknowledging that can go a long way! (If they’re nursing or pumping)

Meals – Coordinate with dad and send a meal delivery kit/service to cover them for a couple of weeks. There are a lot of options here. Make sure to select one that comes with already prepared freezer friendly meals (not meals they would have to assemble and cook.) That way- they don’t have to do extra work and they can freeze it if they aren’t ready for it when it’s sent

A nice candle – We love Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano (who doesn’t?)

A 60 minute massage gift card for when she’s ready (make sure it doesn’t expire for a very long time)

A mani-pedi gift card (May also be nice if you offer to come along to the appointment with her and the baby – that way you can hold the baby while she gets her nails done. Some moms may have anxiety about leaving the little one – so this makes it easy for her to be with him or her and be pampered at the same time!)
